My brother-in-law Brian bought himself a nicely priced dirt bike. After visiting here he thought that we would enjoy using it for a while.
Michael was on that thing as soon as it arrived. Of course he wanted company and there was no way I was getting on it. Joshua jumped at the chance.
A state of sheer joy followed. Of course I was a little concerned about the helmet options.
Nicholas of course partook in the action.
At this point our neighbor Nick brought over a REAL helmet for dirt biking. Apparently he is an avid dirt biker. He even showed me the scar on his head where he had to have brain surgery after a bad crash. Ahem. He is letting us borrow it as long as we need.
The fun eventually ended and there were no injuries. Thank you God.
Oh, and in case you were wondering……Luke herds dirt bikes too.

I appreciate your concern for the boys on dirt bikes. I would be too. They’re smart boys, you’ve trained them well. Pray a strong hedge of protection around them and plea the blood of Jesus over them, and thank God for keeping them safe. I will pray that for you too.
What a superb life for bringing up boys ( spending many wonderful chapters and seasons of life ) and their parents.

What a huge smile this story put on my face and made my neurons very happy. Because I know my “3 boys” I could imagine the sheer joy of this experience. And what a generous little brother to share this purchase because he is like them…adventurous, free, and yes, our God will protect them because we pray every day for them and we completely trust Him to do just that.
