Snow? Nope

The weather people keep teasing everyone with the possibility of snow.  I don’t mind that because I know the weather people are rarely correct on their predictions of snow. Western Oregon is difficult to predict for any type of weather except rain. We are close to the ocean, we have the Coast Range, the Columbia River, and Mt. Hood and the cascade range.(In case you didn’t know, Oregon is not a flat state)  I understand why they rarely get it right.

So they need to just stop talking about it. It is wreaking havoc on my guys. Michael grew up in Gresham which is much closer to Mt. Hood and gets more snow than Portland  and all of us to the south and he REALLY wants snow. Joshua and Nicholas were just wanting a snow day so they could miss some school. All three of my guys were not happy when they woke up each morning with no snow.

When I was in grade school circa 1978?? We had snow on Spring Break. Shhh! don’t tell my guys.

Our crocuses bloomed and then froze. The bees are being ignored by me and I’m just waiting to start some stuff for the garden.

So since it is still COLD, how about some baby goat pictures?

This guy is my FAVORITE!! I might not be able to sell him. We’ve been calling him Wayne. Do you see the boots on his legs?

The babies were playing in the outside pen. It is amazing how agile and stable they are on any thing no matter if it is moving (jumping on their moms backs)

You might notice some black marks on some of the babies sides. This was an attempt to number them with a  type if grease marker. . It didn’t last.We have more all white babies than ever before.

Here are two brothers. I was there when they were born so I call them Light Brown Cow and Dark Brown Cow. Hey, what can I say I thought they looked like brown and white Holstein cows when they were born.

Ok, time to sign off. But first, Jesi wants to say “hi.”

Have a great week,

Karen
